On 23 October, join us for "NGO 101: Best Practices in Management," an exclusive event featuring Agnes K.Y. Tai, '80, director of Great Glory Investment Corporation.

The workshop is from 6-9 p.m. at the University of Chicago Francis and Rose Yuen Campus at 168 Victoria Road, Mount Davis, in Hong Kong.

Designed to give you a grounding in the skills you need to be an effective NGO board member, this free workshop will include:

A panel discussion with Tai and experienced NGO leaders sharing best practices in NGO management, from corporate governance to management of multiple stakeholders
A break-out group case study exercise to gain hands-on experience in issues that NGOs face, responsibilities, including finance, donor relationship development, marketing, and more
Networking reception with fellow leaders interested in NGO board service

Agnes K.Y. Tai, '80, is a director of Great Glory Investment Corporation and senior advisor at iPartners Holdings Limited. She has 37 years of experience in establishing and managing funds, direct investments, corporate strategy, risk management, and sustainability. Tai serves as deputy chair of Training Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors; a training facilitator at HKEx and irasia/givingasia; vice chair of KELY Support Group; board member of Hope of the City and SX Foundation; Advisory Board member of Shao Ming Lo Foundation, Fred Hollows Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong; committee member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) Hong Kong Chapter; and the consultant with Asian Charity Services.
