Join Chicago Booth Women's Network (CBWN) of alumni for an intimate evening of self-reflection, story-telling, and advice from three remarkably successful and inspirational female leaders on the topic of career transition, and building human capital.
The discussion will be centered around how to successfully have career transitions, and how to manage challenges and opportunities through various stages of women's life to build up human capital and to live a happy life. Take time after our panel discussion to network with withe inspirational community of women.
Our exceptional speakers come from Tech, Energy, Finance, and Recruiting background.
Due to catering restrictions at this venue, only snacks, sodas, and water are offered by our hosts.
Join the group for networking afterwards at the restaurant and bar right next door called Hard Water, where drinks and food are available for puchase after the first round.

Speaker Profiles
Julie McLaughlin '13 (XP-82) (Speaker)
ice President of Commercial Origination, Cogentrix
Julie McLaughlin currently holds the position of Vice President of Commercial Origination for Cogentrix, a Carlyle portfolio company. Julie has more than 15 years of experience in the energy and environmental sectors across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. She has worked with established players like Cogentrix, Brookfield Renewable, and E.ON Climate & Renewables, as well as startups like EcoSecurities and Vertex Energia, of which she was a co-founder. She has made countless transitions both within and between companies as well as across geographies. Between 2001 and 2013, Julie lived in seven countries across four continents.
Julie holds a B.A. from Bucknell University in Environmental Studies; an MPA from Columbia University in Environmental Science and Policy; and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Additionally, she completed a two-year Peace Corps service in Environmental Education in Nicaragua.
Grace Liu (Speaker) '11
Senior Director, LendingClub
Grace is responsible for balance sheet and liquidity management at LendingClub. She helps to drive business growth and profitability through strategic financial management and thoughtful allocation of resources. Before joining LendingClub, she worked in Applied Materials supporting the Group CTO as a finance lead. Prior to that, she spent 6 years in investment banking and capital markets in the U.S. and in Asia.
Grace is a graduate from Bates College and obtained an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago. She is an enthusiastic advocate for performing arts and currently serves as a board member at Intersection for the Arts in San Francisco.
Natasha Kehimkar (Speaker)
Chief People Officer, App Annie
As Chief People Officer, Natasha Kehimkar leads App Annie's global People and Talent team. With cross-industry experience in global HR, talent acquisition and organization effectiveness within both start-up and established companies, Natasha is responsible for managing strategic initiatives focused on culture, people operations and talent at the company. Prior to App Annie, Natasha served as the VP People at Guardant Health, a Sequoia-backed biotech startup company. Prior to that, she was VP of People and Culture at OpenTable where she oversaw all operational and strategic aspects of People Operations & Talent Acquisition for the company. This was preceded by more than 15 years of HR experience at Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson. She holds a BA in Sociology from McGill University, and a Master's in Human Resources & Labor Relations from Michigan State University.
