This panel will inform the Booth School's and University of Chicago's New York-area alumni about current trends, areas of functional expertise and business development opportunities in the fintech industry. Each member of the panel will explain the nature of their business platform, the most exciting opportunities in their realm of fintech and how their background and expertise enabled them to achieve their current leadership roles.

Brian Egger is Senior Gaming & Lodging Analyst and Consumer Team Leader at Bloomberg Intelligence. He is author of Social Media Strategies for Investing (Adams Media/Simon & Schuster) and an avid public speaker and TV/radio commentator on the casino, hotel and cruise sectors. Brian was a nationally-ranked analyst at Credit Suisse and BMO Capital Markets, where he was Associate Director of Research. He earned a BSE from Wharton and taught security analysis as an adjunct finance professor at Columbia Business School. He graduated from Chicago Booth in 1992.
Heidi Johnson (Speaker)

Heidi Johnson defines business strategy and product development for the suite of tools that Bloomberg Terminal subscribers use to chat, share insights, prices and trade ideas with colleagues and trading counterparties. Heidi's group is also responsible for the Bloomberg Terminal's mobile application and the company's enterprise compliance solutions for communications management and archiving, trade surveillance and record retention. Heidi joined Bloomberg in 2014 to lead product development for Bloomberg's community and collaboration tools, such as Bloomberg Chat (IB), message (MSG) and NOTE, a shared workspace where users can exchange up-to-date market and security information, news and research with other Bloomberg users. In only three years, Heidi's role expanded to include responsibility for enterprise compliance and trade surveillance solutions, including Bloomberg Vault, as well as communications data and analytics. Previously, Heidi led product development for message and collaboration services at financial information provider, IHS Markit. She has also led digital communications strategy for a leading global investment bank and built communications and collaboration software for AOL Time Warner. Heidi earned her masters and bachelor's degrees in biology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Sangeeta Kishore (Speaker) '03
Founding Member and Chief Financial Officer, Grasshopper Bank

Sangeeta Kishore is a senior executive in the banking industry, with over 16 years of experience in executive leadership roles at community banks primarily in the finance, operations and risk areas. She is a founding member and CFO of Grasshopper Bank, the first fully digital commercial only bank in the US, that began its operations in May 2019. Prior to the foundation of Grasshopper Bank, Ms. Kishore was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Metropolitan Commercial Bank in New York City. She has also served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer of Kish Bank and President and CEO of Hanover Community bank. Over the span of her career, Ms. Kishore has developed a unique ability to combine financial acumen with technology experience in banking to help facilitate tech-enabled finance. She has expertise in investments, capital planning, strategic planning and execution and regulatory oversight. Prior to her time in banking, Ms. Kishore served as an Executive Officer in Indian Parliament from 1994 to 2001. She holds an MBA from the Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master's of Business Administration from BIT Mesra, as well as a Master's Degree in Economics from Lucknow University in India.
Roxanne Malaspina (Speaker)

Roxanne manages product development and data governance for Citigroup Global Markets' Equities and Securities Services business. She leverages over 25 years of regulatory, legal and fintech experience to guide global cross-functional teams and design and implement standards for data access and analytics platforms. Before joining Citi, Roxanne was the General Counsel of CoreOne Technologies LLC, a financial data management, analytics and regulatory reporting company acquired by IHS Markit. Roxanne also served as Special Counsel in the Division of Trading and Markets at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., Director and Senior Counsel for Equities at Deutsche Bank AG in NY and Hong Kong, and capital markets attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York and London. Roxanne earned AB degrees, summa cum laude, in Economics and Government from Lafayette College and a JD, cum laude, from NYU School of Law, where she was on the Law Review. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
Darren Wolfberg (Speaker) '03

Darren Wolfberg has over 15 years of institutional finance experience and has served in management capacities at Bay Crest Partners, a US FINRA Registered Broker Dealer. He is a registered representative in the US and a holder of FINRA Series 7, 63, 55 and 24 designations. Darren brings a background at the intersection of Finance, Regulations and Technology. His previous roles included Head of Cash Equities and Futures Trading for BNP Paribas, nine years at Morgan Stanley and a year and a half at BTIG. Darren has startup experience at Broadform, an education-technology company, FlyClip LLC, a technology wearables company, and Housetab, a payment processing company. He served on the Board of Director for Redi, a company that was sold to Thompson Reuters in 2017, and currently sits on the board of AiX, a natural language processing, automated execution technology.
