An additional draw this year may be the opportunity to take in the free, day-long conference being planned by the UChicago Center in Delhi on Friday, Nov 1 (before the evening kick-off of PiBar), to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the center's founding. Senior leaders and several faculty members from the university will be attending, giving talks on a variety of subjects. Separate registration, with the Delhi Center, will be required to attend the conference
The annual Pan-India Booth Alumni Retreat (PiBar), hosted in a different city each year, brings a sizable fraction of them together, for a weekend of networking, learning, and fun. Earlier editions were held in Delhi (2012 & 2014), Mumbai (2013), Bengaluru (2015), Goa (2016), Chennai (2017), and Lonavala (2018).
Between 150 and 200 people (from 20+ metros and 7+ countries) attended each of the last two retreats. As before, spouses/significant others and kids are also welcome to attend PiBar 2019, with family-friendly activities to engage them.
