Event Details

Alumni and current students are invited to join the Chicago Booth School Club of Greater New York for a tour of Bloomberg LP's worldwide headquarters in New York. The tour will include a visit to Bloomberg's state-of-the-art television and radio studios and production facilities. After the tour, Paul Sweeney, the co-host of Bloomberg Surveillance and Bloomberg Markets, will speak with our group. Pizza and refreshments will be served at the post-tour meeting with Mr. Sweeney.

Paul Sweeney is the co-host of Bloomberg Radio's Bloomberg Surveillance and Bloomberg Markets. He previously served as Bloombeg Intelligence's co-head of Americas Industry Research. Mr. Sweeney has covered the media sector for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Bloomberg in 2009, he served as a managing director of equity research at Credit Suisse, where he covered the broadcasting, outdoor advertising, and wireless tower industries. He has also held senior research positions covering media, entertainment and related industries at Salomon Brothers, Salomon Smith Barney, and Wheat First Butcher Singer. Sweeney began his media career at Chase Manhattan Bank (now JPMorgan Chase & Co.) in its media corporate finance group. During his career, Sweeney has been ranked by both Institutional Investor magazine and Greenwich Associates as a top analyst in his space. He has a Masters of Business Administration Degree from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, where he is a member of the Board of Visitors, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Richmond.
