Event Details
Join fellow alumni over light bites and drinks to hear the views of an Angel, a VC investor, and two women veterans of Chicago Booth Angels pitch events. The panel will be moderated by a successful business owner and Chicago Booth graduate who will focus the discussion on how those leading start-ups can set themselves up for success and what they can expect along the way. While the focus will be on the woman's experience, there will be much for men to take away as well.

Jeffrey Adelson-Yan is an operating partner of Third Prime, a venture firm leading Seed and Series A investments that takes great pride in providing both financial and strategic support to the teams and companies it partners with. Jeff is also the co-founder of LevelWing, a digital marketing agency specializing in media, analytics, creative, and social. He has been recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Nami Baral (Panelist)
Founder and CEO, Harvest Platform
Nami Baral is the founder and CEO of Harvest Platform, a fintech start-up that leverages artificial intelligence to help consumers negotiate bank fees and manage credit card debt. Prior to Harvest, Nami was Head of Partner Solutions at Twitter's Exchange, where she led a global team that managed billion dollar revenue relationships and built real time negotiation products. She has a background in M&A.
Angela Lee (Panelist)
Founder/CEO, 37 Angels
Angela Lee is an educator, entrepreneur, and the founder/CEO of of 37 Angels, a network of 70+ women investors passionate about early stage start-ups. Besides exposing its members to deal flow, 37 Angels runs boot camps that activate new investors through in-person and online education. For the past 6 years, Angela has also served as Chief Innovation Officer and Associate Dean of Columbia Business School.
Navya Singh (Panelist)
Co-Founder, wayForward
Navya Singh is a psychologist, healthcare entrepreneur, and co-founder of wayForward, an app- and web-delivered platform with a mission to improve behavioral health outcomes by matching individual needs to the right clinical solutions. She is dedicated to making behavioral healthcare accessible to everyone globally. Navya is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia in the Department of Psychiatry.
Cindy Machles (Moderator)
CEO and Co-founder, Glue
Cindy Machles is CEO and Co-founder of Glue, which has been recognized as a top 20 advertising and PR firm annually since 2015. Prior to Glue, Cindy started and led advertising and branding agencies for WPP and worked in brand management at Clorox and J&J. Cindy is a 1982 graduate of Booth, serves on the NYC alumni board, and is a steering committee member of Chicago Booth Angels-NYC.
