Event Details
During this conference, Marc will draw parallels between the values of rugby and good management practices. He will explain how engagement of defense and attack in rugby gives insights which can be applied to your business and companies. Marc will also share highlights from his career, in particular the 1999 Rugby World Cup as a player (France runner-up) and the 2011 World Cup as a coach (France runner-up), and share with us a number of lessons on the importance of the team vs the individual as well as self-motivation, courage and resilience. You will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Speaker Profiles
Marc Liévremont (Speaker)
Marc is a former international rugby player and was the head coach of the French national rugby team. He played as a back-row forward for France, gaining 25 caps from 1995 to 1999, and was selected in France's 1999 Rugby World Cup squad where France ended being runner-ups to the champions Australia. He also played with the French Rugby Sevens team and with the French Barbarians.
Marc began his rugby career with amateur club Étoile sportive Catalane. He then played for Perpignan, Stade Français (Top 14), in 1998 and 2000, as well as Biarritz Olympique.
After retiring from rugby, Marc turned to coaching at US Dax, whom he guided to promotion to the Top 14 in 2007. Then, French Rugby Federation president Bernard Lapasset, who is now chairman of the IRB, appointed Marc as the new head coach of the French national team after the 2007 Rugby World Cup, replacing Bernard Laporte. In 2010 Marc coached France to win the 2010 Six Nations Championship and Grand Slam. At the 2011 Rugby World Cup, he guided France to the final where they played New Zealand, losing 8-7 after a very well-played game.
Together with Alain Roche, former professional and international football player, Marc is co-founder of the startup "FanLive", the first digital Fan Room for Football (League 1 and 2) and Rugby (Top 14 and D2). Also, Marc is lecturer, consultant at Canal + and owns and runs with his brother Thomas the restaurant "Bar de la Cote des Basques" located at Biarritz.
Additionally, Marc is involved in charitable activities, he is patron of Action Enfance, an association which welcomes, protects and educates brothers and sisters in danger, from infancy to adulthood as well as patron and president of the endowment fund of the APELS, the Agency for Education through Sport, an association that contributes to educational success and the integration of young people in the society
Marc has a degree in General Management of Professional Sports Club from University of Limoges.
