Technology, we use it, depend on it and yet few of us fully understand how data relationships, structures, and processes affect our rights and exposure to unseen risks. European Officials concerns rose as the number of data security breaches grew and finally, they decided to act. Effective May 25, 2018, any company doing business with EU citizens must comply with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
If you have not heard of GDPR, or think that it doesn't impact US companies or citizens, wake up to the global digital world. The challenges of implementing this regulation exceed the pains of compliance. These regulations demand companies to be "mindful" at an unprecedented level.
Join us Friday, May 18th to discuss the many challenges of implementing GDPR. For example, how do these rule changes affect business models? What are its repercussions for data-driven decision-making at every level of the business, among its partners and by customers?
