Alumni conversation with Jerry Jordan. Mr. Jordan earned a doctorate in economics from UCLA and holds honorary doctorates from Denison and Capital universities. Before joining the Bank, he was a senior vice president and director of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. His commercial banking experience includes five years at Pittsburgh National Bank and seven years at First Interstate Bancorp in Los Angeles. He was a member of President Reagan's Council of Economic Advisors in 1981-82. Mr. Jordan is also an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute and a past president of the National Association of Business Economists.
