Michael Fabiano (Speaker) '09
Managing Director, GSO Capital Partners

Michael Fabiano is a Managing Director with GSO Capital Partners. Mr. Fabiano leads both public and private investments across debt and equity securities with a specific focus on stressed, distressed, and special situations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of U.S. Xpress Enterprises and SPV OSUS. He has previously served on the Board of Directors of LifeCare Hospitals and Navig8 Product Tankers. Prior to joining GSO Capital in 2005, Mr. Fabiano was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley where he was a member of the Leveraged Finance team and worked on numerous leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations. Mr. Fabiano holds a BS in Business Administration with honors from Georgetown University and an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago.

Chris Acito, AM'91 (Speaker)
CEO & CIO, Gapstow Capital Partners

Chris Acito founded Gapstow in 2009. He serves as the firm's Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Acito began his career in the investment management industry as a strategic consultant, beginning in Booz-Allen & Hamilton's Banking & Capital Markets practice in New York. In 1998 he joined John Casey, Kevin Quirk, and others to build a specialist firm focusing exclusively on the global investment management industry. This team was originally part of Barra, where Mr. Acito was a Managing Director, but later became independent as Casey, Quirk & Acito. In 2004, Mr. Acito left CQA to become the global Chief Operating Officer for Investcorp's Hedge Fund Group, which, at its peak, managed about $8 billion of client and proprietary capital in both multi-manager funds and single manager hedge funds. Mr. Acito graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Duke University and received his Masters in Economics from the University of Chicago. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey, which he has served as Board Chairman (2009-2015) and Head of the Investment Committee (2003-2009) of the School's $300 million endowment.

Daniel H. Lerner, AB'87 (Speaker)
Portfolio Manager and Head Trader, Eos Credit

Daniel H. Lerner serves as Portfolio Manager and Head Trader for Eos Credit. Eos, named for the Greek Goddess of the Dawn, was founded in 1994 with the purpose to benefit investors and investments by applying private equity disciplines of research, value and ownership across asset classes. Eos invests in good companies at good prices and undervalued opportunities in less efficient markets to help our investors fulfill their missions. The firm manages $1.5 billion across the private equity, credit and public equity markets. Prior to joining Eos, Dan was a High Yield Credit Trader at Lehman, KBC, and Grantchester/Wasserstein Perella. He previously traded options on the American Stock Exchange and was an investment banker in mergers and acquisitions at Salomon Brothers and Peter J. Solomon Company. Dan serves as Foundation Treasurer and Past President of Weston Kiwanis, an organization with 118 members dedicated to serving children and the community. He has a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Risk Manager, Avenue Capital

Andrew Peters is a Risk Manager at Avenue Capital and is responsible for measuring and monitoring market risk as well as assisting in the management of leverage, counterparty risk and liquidity. Prior to joining Avenue in 2010, Mr. Peters was Director of Pricing and Analytics at Chatham Financial, where he was responsible for structuring derivatives and consulting on risk management to private equity managers since 2004. Mr. Peters received an M.B.A. with Honors from the University of Chicago and is currently serving as the President of the Booth Alumni Club of New York.
