Event Details
Stop by Silicon Beach after work to attend a career panel event with local startup Tala (formerly Inventure), that utilizes mobile technology and data science to bring financial empowerment to those in developing countries. Panel members will include Tala employees involved in product management, coding, data science, and global operations.
UChicago grad Haijing (Crystal) Huang, AB'10, will moderate the panel. Crystal studied economics at UChicago and is currently a PhD candidate at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. Her research areas include behavioral health economics and income inequality in developing nations. Before RAND, Crystal worked at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where she conducted impact evaluations for IDB projects and a joint project with the World Bank.
