We pick a different topic every year and invite a panel or a speaker to discuss the topic. This year's topic is: Women In Tech and will be held in San Francisco, CA at 180 Howard Street.

We have an exciting panel of Booth alumni, in various stages of their careers, who have varied experiences working in or transitioning into a technology role. Come and listen to their stories, discuss yours and ask questions in a relaxed environment. The panelists have a wealth of experience and are excited to share their career journey with you. So join us and bring a friend!

Julie Morton, Associate Dean of Career Services and Corporate Relations, will join us for the evening. Booth's full-time MBA population now boasts 42% women, and the school is engaged in many activities for women students, alumnae, and corporations interested in targeting women. Cathy Hsu (Panelist) '16
Financial System and Operation Lead, Affirm

Cathy is currently a lead for finance operations and underlying system at Affirm, a FinTech startup which provides affordable, installment loans as an alternative financing for online purchases founded by Max Levchin, PayPal Co-Founder. Prior to Booth, Cathy worked at Salesforce.com as a software engineering building the real-time chat platform for its Service Cloud products. She also has stints at PwC Consulting and Microsoft, and as a licensed CPA in the United States. She enjoys badminton, books, and food in her spare time.

Jacqueline Barrett is the Lead Economic Researcher at LinkedIn. In this role, she uses LinkedIn's rich data set to uncover trends in local economies as well as understand complex labor market phenomena. Prior to working at LinkedIn, Jacqueline served as an Economist at Compass Lexecon where she focused on antitrust and competition. She has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University.

Prior to attending Booth, Joyce worked in Human Resources and Operations Management. After graduating from Booth in 2010, Joyce moved to Denver and transitioned to a career in Product Management and Marketing for tech firms at every stage of growth. She worked alongside developers, but was never in a technical role.

It wasn't until a year ago that she once again shifted career tracks, this time to a technical role as a Developer Evangelist for a startup in San Francisco. In the current role, her primary goal is to educate and engage the developer community about the startup's technology. The job requires technical chops, while still leveraging her experience in product and marketing.

Ann is an office-leasing specialist with over 15 years of real estate experience. She has been involved in hundreds of leasing transactions in downtown San Francisco. She has created specialized financial models to illustrate innovative leasing strategies and quantify the impact that leasing decisions have on both the landlord and tenant. Prior to joining JLL, Ann worked for Arthur Andersen and Standard & Poor's in the areas of real estate tax and valuation.

Ann received an M.B.A. with High Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Civil Engineering degree from UCLA. She is a CFA charterholder and a LEED accredited professional.
