Event Details

Insurance was the first "big data" industries in many ways, but legacy structures, high-levels of gov-ernment regulation, and reliance on out-dated technology have kept insurance companies from inno-vating until recently. Big data and analytics is transforming the industry and innovative startups have exploded over the past 18-24 months. What was once considered futuristic is not commonplace.
What will the insurance industry look like in 5-10 years? How will the availability of data, IOT, cloud computing, and advanced analytics capabilities change how insurers price risks? How many risks can be eliminated or changed due to the rise of driverless cars and smart technologies? How will this change how we consume and cover risk?
