"Successful Negotiating Skills" is a program designed for anyone who negotiates internally or externally. Concentrating on negotiating processes and behaviors, we provide a variety of tools designed to achieve successful outcomes. Exercises and role plays give everyone a chance to practice what they learn and can be based on the participants' own work situations. Registration limited to just 15 participants. By special arrangement, the Chicago Booth Alumni Club has retained Zehren-Friedman Associates to present a two-evening Successful Negotiation Skills Class. In order to provide a highly individualized experience, registration is limited to just 15 participants. Register promptly, because this course will fill up quickly!! Our previous offering in this series, Effective Presentation Skills, filled up in less than 90 minutes! Advance registration will be opened to CLUB MEMBERS ONLY at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, August 6. Any remaining spaces will be released for general registration at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, August 11. Non-members who wish to take advantage of this special opportunity are invited to join the club online prior to August 6. This is a highly concentrated, focused version of professional training that is typically offered to corporations at a cost of $1000 or more per participant. Among other things, participants will explore and learn: 1. How collaboration in negotations can uncover creative, unexpected solutions that leave all parties fully satisfied. 2. Skills and tactics to succeed in "zero-sum" negotiations. The course will be highly interactive and experiential, for optimal skill development. Prior to the seminar, participants complete a Negotiating Style Profiles, which reveals their inclination to use five different negotiating styles: Defeat; Collaborate; Accommodate; Withdraw; Compromise. During the seminar, steps and techniques are suggested for each stage of a negotiation.
