Lessons of Effective CEO's - The July discussion offers a chance to dig deeper into the issues raised at our June meeting, which focused on Professor Kaplan's research into Characteristics of Effective CEO's. We will review selected literature & cases on the role of the CEO, drawing lessons for our own organizations, careers, and current leadership roles. Start your workday by discussing the topic with your fellow alums. These downtown (loop) breakfast discussions do not feature scheduled speakers. Rather, all participants are asked to prepare by reading at least one recommended article and join in our discussion. We believe that "no one is as smart as everyone" and that we learn by sharing our perspectives and experiences. We have also found that these discussions are an effective and enjoyable way to build a substantive network among fellow alums. Please review one or more of the recommended readings, then come prepared to contribute to a lively discussion. Don't be left out. These discussions sessions regularly "sell out", so register now to confirm your space.
