Speaker Profiles

Dr. Bin Qi (Speaker)
Vice GM, China Investment Corporation

Dr. Qi was born in 1968. He got his BS in Physics from Tsinghua University, MS in Physics from University of Rochester, MBA from Chicago Booth and PhD in Econometrics from Tsinghua University.

Dr. Qi worked in Godman Sachs and other investment banks in the US from 1996 to 2000. Then he joined Emergent Capital as a partner. In Oct 2000, he joined CSRC as a member of strategic planning committee. From 2001 to 2005, he served as vice director of CSRC's Fund Administration Division. He started to direct CSRC's research division in 2016, and served as executive director of Beijing Institute of Securities and Futures in 2012. Later, he was also responsible for CSRC's Innovation Administration Division and International Collaboration Division in 2014.

In August of 2016, Dr. Qi started his new role as Vice GM of China Investment Corporation.
