Event Details
In this session, Cafasso and Buehler explore what’s truth and what’s myth about each major generational category - from the early 20th century “traditionalists” through the up and coming “millenials.” Using 21st century research data combined with real workplace examples, they’ll address the challenges and offer solutions for managing and selling across generations.
Specifically, they’ll explore the values of each generation and how they are expressed through workplace behaviors. A brief quiz will help audience members understand how these values are “showing up” at work right now.
Research has shown that Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is positively correlated with leadership ability. By enhancing audience members’ understanding of generational diversity and the unique needs of each generational group, this session will help the latter increase their EQ and leadership skills. Moreover, with increasing numbers of Baby Boomers moving toward retirement, it is ever more imperative to understand the implications of this “new workforce.” Finally, this session will provide the information and tools required to successfully navigate the business, sales and communication impacts of this generational shift.
