Alumni relations is a team comprised of people-first professionals to partner with you, our alumni community, to enhance and enrich the alumni network through meaningful engagement.
Our relationship managers work strategically with alumni volunteers in the global alumni network to create active ecosystems of alumni in local communities. We support reunions, regional and local programming, informal student and alumni opportunities, meaningful alumni organizations, and more.
We are dedicated to empowering alumni to lead by helping alumni to build community, facilitate peer to peer connections, and to gain momentum in local communities within the greater alumni network. Let us partner with you to activate our alumni community!
What we do:
- Offer guidance to navigate school-wide resources.
- Create opportunities for alumni to connect with each other, through personalized introductions, reunions, & events of all kinds and sizes.
- Help build community among regions and like-minded alumni.
- Assist in defining and maintaining Booth excellence among alumni and alumni groups.
- Guide alumni volunteers in leading effective boards and committees.
- Support in developing leadership skills through volunteering.

Associate Director - Reunions
Caitlin Andersen has been at Booth since August 2015. For 2 years she was on the Alumni Relations, Americas team, she is currently on the Reunions team. Caitlin is responsible for developing and managing reunion volunteer committees with a focus on peer-to-peer outreach and alumni engagement. In her free time, she enjoys cooking new recipes, spending time outdoors and exploring Chicago neighborhoods.
Director - Reunions, Student, and Recent Alumni Engagement
Lisa has been with Chicago Booth since 2011. Lisa is responsible for reunion volunteer strategy including volunteer recruitment, management, and overall reunions program engagement as well as overseeing strategy for engaging recent alumni and building connections between alumni and students. In her free time, Lisa enjoys reading, spending time with her family exploring all the parks in the city, and trying all the best pizza in Chicago.
Director of Alumni Relations - Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific
Penka Bergmann is the Director of Alumni Relations for Chicago Booth, based in the London campus. In her role, Penka leads the school's alumni engagement strategy in the EMEA and APAC regions, engaging alumni with the priorities of the School and each other, and working with a global team to advance Chicago Booth's mission and continue the strong trajectory for Chicago Booth globally. Penka has been part of Chicago Booth's global team since 2000, and was a founding staff member of the London Campus in 2005. Penka has an A.M. from the University of Chicago and an M.A. from the Freie Universitaet Berlin.
Senior Associate Director - New York and Special Projects
Denise has been with Booth Alumni Relations since 2015, first overseeing club activity along the East Coast, and then moving to Chicago to work on broader strategic AR projects. In 2020, she returned to the New York Office, where she focuses on the alumni network and programming across Greater NYC, liaises with the Chicago Booth Women’s Network and Chicago Booth Black Alumni Association, and builds Booth@Work alumni networks within companies. She’s a pop culture junkie with crossword and Scrabble habits and a fondness for college basketball. A people person by nature, she finds making personal connections and promoting opportunities to collaborate most rewarding.
Assistant Director - Pipeline Development
Caroline Oates is a Hoosier now living in Chicago. She is the go-to for data analysis and logistical questions, particularly in this virtual world. Caroline’s experiences in Indiana and Brazil give her a unique perspective on the team with her know-how in student affairs, global education, teaching, and activism. She supports the rest of the global Alumni Relations team with projects, events, and reports. In her free time she practices Portuguese, plays recreational sports, and reads queer fiction.
Senior Director, Alumni Relations
Annie White joined Chicago Booth in April 2020 as the Senior Director of Alumni Relations. Prior to this role, she was the Director of Alumni Engagement with the Northwestern Alumni Association where she managed career and mentorship engagement; student and recent alumni programs; and launched digital programming. Annie has returned home in a sense as she previously worked at the University of Chicago in central Alumni Relations and Development.
