Marianne Loynes, ’01
Marianne is a director within NHS Improvement’s regulation team. Over the past 12 years, she performed reviews and due diligence on a wide range of business plans and management teams where NHS organisations have applied for foundation trust status, transaction risk ratings or other regulatory clearance. She has had regulatory oversight of portfolios of NHS foundation trusts and independent providers of NHS services, including organisations requiring intervention to drive turnaround of financial or quality performance.
She is currently engaged in joint policy work to move local health systems towards more integrated service models either through partnership working or by contracting for more integrated care pathways and on the NHS’s future operating model for centralised procurement. She also acts as a resource on well led governance frameworks and organisational form options available within the NHS.
Marianne also worked in a due diligence and strategy role within GE Capital’s European financial services business development team and was a derivatives trader with ABN AMRO Bank prior to attending business school
Marianne has an undergraduate degree from Cass Business School in London and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
