Maria Scott, '17 (EXP-22)
Co-founder and CEO
TAINA Technology Limited
Maria is an experienced lawyer who spent over a decade of her professional career with a global financial institution. She launched TAINA (www.TAINA.tech) to address a particularly painful issue for financial institutions - FATCA and CRS compliance which currently involves error-prone and expensive manual effort and multiple siloed systems.
Maria is a UK lawyer and a Chartered Tax Adviser and has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She has been recognised by Forbes and Innovate Finance as one of Power Women in FinTech and has been featured in various publications including Financial Times, The Banker and QZ.
TAINA‘s software automates and streamlines compliance with these regulations, saving over 84% in costs, reducing operational risks and improving customers’ journeys.
TAINA won Booth Global New Venture Challenge 2017 and has been since recognised as one of the most innovative Regulatory Technology companies in the world and one of the top FinTech businesses to watch in 2018 by Treasury-backed Tech Nation.
