Anne-Cecile Mulin was born in France and spent time in Holland, Italy, Canada, the US, and Mexico before calling London home for the past 12 years. After earning a bachelor’s degree in economics at La Sorbonne and a master’s degree in finance, she attended NYU Tisch School of Arts to study production and pursue her interest in film distribution.
After interning at Miramax, Mulin worked at Screen International in London and later joined the EMEA distribution team at 20th Century Fox where she analysed the performance of films for the major European territories. She was later responsible for planning releases across all of EMEA and developing new business opportunities such as opening the North African markets and worked on major releases such as Avatar and Black Swan.
She is currently the director of strategy and operations for international distribution at Universal Pictures International. She opened their Brazil offices two years ago and recently their HK office.
In 2017, Mulin completed the Future Leaders Program, an industry course for executive women in the film business, and is a current student of the Executive MBA Program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
