The Curriculum

We’ve designed a schedule that combines academic coursework with professional skill-building.  Scholars will explore the disciplines of finance, accounting, and marketing. You'll also develop expertise in teamwork, professional networking, and career planning.

You'll work and play with people with varied interests, backgrounds, and ambitions—much like Chicago Booth’s MBA program. The Summer Business Scholars Program will open your eyes to new ideas and different points of view.

A Typical Day’s Schedule

The program is considered full-time. A typical day begins at 8:00 a.m. when the bus picks you up at the residence hall. Your mornings will consist of coursework, and depending on the day, you may have coursework, a professional skill-building workshop, an alumni panel, or lecture from one of our Full-Time faculty members in the afternoon. One day each week is reserved for company visits and lunch in the city. Typically your day ends at 5:00 p.m. which gives scholars the evening to eat, study, and enjoy the city!

Instructors

Courses will be taught by four instructors from the Chicago Booth PhD program. Summer Scholars will also meet and interact with our Full-Time faculty members throughout the three weeks.

Academic Credit

The Summer Business Scholars Program is a non-credit program; however, with more than 105 contact hours, graded coursework, and highly qualified instructors from an accredited institution, this course of study can be presented to your home institution for transfer credit. Contact us for information about transfer credit.
