This session will recap the 2010 - 11 recruiting season with insightful statistics on the industries and functions in which our students will be working for full-time positions and summer internships. Details will also be provided on the sources of students' jobs and the percentage of students who accepted full-time positions through their internships. An overview of the number of companies that interviewed on campus and the number of job postings will also be provided.

The Art of Conversation

Craig Wortmann, Clinical Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship

How do you "have impact" on those with whom you interact? Impact comes from how communications flow between ourselves and others, what we say and don't say, and how we build a conversation together. Professor Wortmann will discuss some of the key tools he uses in his Entrepreneurial Selling course to provide students with both skill and discipline in their communications.

Please join us for lunch with your fellow colleagues, students, and Career Services staff. We invite you to network and dine with colleagues in your industry, as well as meet the first-year co-chairs for our career-focused student groups.

Industry Breakout Sessions with Student Panelists

Career Services staff will moderate discussions with student panelists on the recruiting process. The panels will be divided by industry, providing you with the opportunity to participate in a discussion about recruiting for consulting, corporate or investment banking and investment management positions. During the panels, students will provide candid feedback on the recruiting process and answer any questions that you might have. Career Services staff will also share focus group feedback collected from first-year students on the internship recruiting experience.
