FAQ
What is RECONNECT?
RECONNECT is a new alumni occasion that combines three great events into one special weekend. The weekend will occur every spring and is a great time to catch up with former classmates, listen to renowned faculty present their latest research, and take advantage of all that Chicago has to offer. It is a weekend full of activities including class dinners, Management Conference, the annual Alumni Celebration, campus tours, and more.
Who attends?
All Chicago Booth alumni and their guests are invited to attend RECONNECT. Many of the activities are family friendly as well.
I'm not celebrating a reunion. Can I still attend?
Yes! All Chicago Booth alumni are invited to attend RECONNECT. Even if you aren’t celebrating a reunion, you will find many great activities open to all alumni where you can meet new friends or reconnect with old ones.
What should I wear?
Business casual attire is appropriate for most events. For events such as the Cubs game and Mayfest, casual attire is appropriate.
Do I need to register in advance?
Yes, we strongly encourage you to register in advance for this event. This event does have a reservation deadline and could sell out. If space is available, registration will be available on-site for the specific events.
What if I have special needs?
Please let us know about any special needs (such as dietary requirements or handicap accessibility) when you register; you may also call Alumni Affairs and Development at 773.702.7731 for your needs. We will do our best to accommodate requests made at least one week prior to RECONNECT.
What if I cancel my registration?
Cancellations must be received by May 3, 2013, to receive a full refund. To cancel, please email alumni@ChicagoBooth.edu or call 773.702.7731.
Do you have any deals with local hotels?
Yes, we have reserved room blocks at several hotels downtown. Please check the travel page for more details and rates. We suggest booking your hotel early as they always fill up quickly!
Will transportation be provided?
Yes, we will have shuttles running throughout the weekend to help get you to the different locations. Details will be posted on the travel page closer to the event.
What counts as a contribution to the Reunion Class Gift campaign?
Your outright gift or multiyear pledge received between July 1, 2012, and June 30, 2013, will count towards your Reunion Class Gift. If you make a multiyear pledge, you (and the class) will be recognized for the entire commitment.
Will I be asked to give another gift this year in addition to my Reunion gift?
Your Reunion gift counts as your annual contribution to the school. We may also ask you to continue to support the Annual Fund in non-reunion years.
How can I make a Reunion Class Gift?
- Make a multiyear pledge by contacting Lisa Huyett by email or phone at 773.702.9194.
- Contribute by filling in the online giving form and selecting "Make a Reunion gift" from the dropdown menu. You also can set up recurring payments online.

Does my Reunion gift really make a difference?
Yes! Our Reunion Class Gift supports the school's top priorities and helps close the gap between tuition and the total cost of educating a student. Every dollar makes a difference for current students. Furthermore, as alumni, our collective support helps Chicago Booth retain the best faculty, attract the brightest students, and expand its global impact.
