Michael Morsink Class of 2014
Undergraduate school/major: I attended VU University Amsterdam and majored in business administration.
Prior to Booth: I spent six years in sales and trading in London.
Concentrations: Accounting, analytic finance, and finance.
Activities: Member of the Investment Banking Group, Investment Management Group and the Credit, Restructuring, Distressed Investing and Turnaround Group.
Career Plans: I'm recruiting for investment banking in New York.
Why did you choose to attend Chicago Booth? I chose to attend Booth because it teaches the basic foundations of finance and economics, and it teaches it very well. In addition, I like the fact that students are allowed and encouraged to tailor the experience to their specific needs.
Use three adjectives to describe your experience at Chicago Booth: Thought-provoking, challenging and exciting.
What do you consider a "must visit" place or "must do" activity in Chicago? Go for authentic Mexican food in Pilsen or fried chicken & waffles in one of the lesser known parts of town.
Ask me about...: Making the switch from working in Europe to the US, keeping your spouse happy while at b-school, and considering a career in banking - whether it is on the markets side or the advisory side.
