FACULTY AND RESEARCH
Chicago Booth is famous for groundbreaking research. A great deal of faculty research is conducted under the
auspices of our research centers, which in turn are a draw for recruiting top faculty. These are just some of the
centers that provide valuable resources for students and alumni. For a complete listing of resources, please visit
ACCOUNTING RESEARCH CENTER
Previously known as the Institute for Professional Accounting, the
Accounting Research Center (ARC) has promoted accounting research by Chicago Booth faculty and PhD
students since the 1960s.
BECKER FRIEDMAN INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH IN ECONOMICS

Booth, the University of Chicago Law School, and the Department of Economics, the Becker Friedman
Institute for Research in Economics draws together preeminent scholars from around the globe and supports
research addressing policy-related questions through economic analysis.
CENTER FOR DECISION RESEARCH
The Center for Decision Research is devoted to the study of how
individuals form judgments and make decisions. Researchers at the center examine the processes by which
intuition, reasoning, and social interaction produce beliefs, judgments, and choices. Understanding how
and why people make decisions has important applications in a range of contexts, including management,
marketing, finance, and public policy.
FAMA-MILLER CENTER FOR RESEARCH IN FINANCE
The Fama-Miller Center for Research in Finance
was founded to promote and enhance academic research in finance. The center builds on a deep tradition
