International Programs

Our International Programs office oversees two academic programs designed to enhance not only our students' MBA experience with an international perspective, but also Chicago Booth's global footprint.

Study Abroad

Students seeking academic, cultural, and social experiences overseas can study abroad through our International Business Exchange Program (IBEP). To accommodate working students in either the Evening MBA or Weekend MBA program, short-term programs of two to three weeks are available. For students whose schedules permit, you can spend one academic term abroad at one of our 33 partner schools situated in 21 countries around the world. Weeks are also available.

International MBA Degree

Students hoping to position themselves for an international career can pursue an International MBA (IMBA) degree. The IMBA degree builds on the Chicago MBA by including five international business courses, one academic term of study abroad, and a second language proficiency. Because the IMBA is a two-year program and rigorous in nature, we recommend that students enter the program with a strong second language proficiency.
