Message from the Dean

As you know, this weekend a powerful earthquake struck Concepcion, the second most populous city in Chile.  On behalf of everyone at Chicago Booth, I want to express our deep sympathy to all those who have suffered.

I, along with Deputy Dean Kole and Associate Dean James Veeneman, have been in contact with many of our Chilean alumni, current students and admits, and friends during the aftermath of this earthquake. We are relieved to a great extent that the reports we have received in response to date have indicated that none of our alumni and friends were harmed. The extent of the damage in Chile is, however, staggering.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will share any information from the University as it becomes available.

Sincerely,
Dean Ted Snyder
