�Need Health to Create Wealth:� Professor Fogel Speaks at Unesco Event

The Alliance for Health and the Future, in partnership with Unesco and the International Council for Global Health Progress, organized an international colloquium, "Do Health & Longevity Create Wealth?" The December 2005 event held in Paris gathered close to 250 longevity experts, economists, researchers, policy makers, and journalists.

Robert Fogel, Charles R. Walgreen Distinguished Service Professor of American institutions, is the author of The Escape from Hunger and Premature Death. In the book, Fogel looks at how the resulting increase in life expectancy and affluence is changing our lives and society. View a brief video of Fogel.
