Entrepreneurial Skills Are For Everyone

According to BusinessWeek, more universities are teaching innovation as part of the curriculum for students whether they are majoring in business or not. The idea behind this trend is the growing belief that the ability to think entrepreneurially will be a necessity for success in the business world regardless of your role.

Another reason is the changing nature of the working world. Mergers, scandals, outsourcing and other factors mean less job certainty. More people find they need to create their own opportunities.

Some people question the ability of schools to teach what many consider an instinct. However, Ellen Rudnick, executive director of the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and and clinical professor of entrepreneurship, believes “aspiring business owners can pick up everything from financing to marketing in a classroom.”
