Democratic Senator Jon Corzine, ’73, became New Jersey’s 52nd Governor and, according to the New York Times, one of the most powerful state leaders’ in the country. Corzine campaigned in part on his experience as former chief executive of Goldman, Sachs and how his business background could help fight deficits and end corruption.
Corzine grew up on a farm in Illinois. After receiving his MBA at Chicago GSB, he pursued a career on Wall Street. He was elected to the Senate in 2000.
