Peter Ricketts AB ‘86, MBA 91 and Thomas Ricketts, AB ’87, MBA ’93 to serve on board of newly-merged TD Ameritrade

Ameritrade Holding Company is buying online brokerage rival TD Waterhouse. The new firm, to be called TD Ameritrade, will become the largest online broker. According to BusinessWeek, the new company will have estimated annual revenues of more than 1.8 billion.

GSB alumni, Peter Ricketts, AB ‘86, MBA ’91, who currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer will sit on the board of the new company. His brother, Thomas Ricketts, AB ’87, MBA ’93 also will serve as a director.

Tom Ricketts was profiled in BusinessWeek for pioneering a new product for individual investors - investment-grade corporate bonds. He will be honored by the GSB in October when he receives the Distinguished Young Alumni award. The award is given in recognition of such factors as extraordinary career success since graduation, outstanding leadership by peers and colleagues, and influence in the business community to support the school and current students.
