Huberman (’00) will run Chicago’s City Hall

Mayor Richard M. Daley named Ron Huberman, ‘00, his new chief of staff. The appointment, announced May 18, was reported in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and Crain’s Chicago Business. Huberman’s last post was Executive Director for the city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications.

Prior to heading OMEC, Huberman spent nine years with the Chicago Police Department. He was partly responsible for installing security cameras on the city’s streets to deter crime and catch wrongdoers.

Huberman, 33, holds dual master’s degrees from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration and the Graduate School of Business. A profile of Huberman also appeared May 31 in the Chicago Tribune.
