
Since 2009, the Midwest Energy Forum has been the premier conference for clean tech professionals in the Midwest. Researchers, entrepreneurs, and others interested in innovation and growth within the energy sector gather to discuss some of the newest breakthroughs in this rapidly changing field. In 2012, the forum will be held in a different format. See below for details:
The Clean Energy Challenge seeks to find Midwest clean energy businesses with the potential to bring innovations to the marketplace. Applicants compete in either the Early Stage Business track or the Student Challenge. Grand prizes of $100,000 will be awarded in each track. In 2011, $130,000 in cash prizes were awarded to the top company presentations at the Midwest Energy Forum. To learn more about the Clean Energy Challenge in 2012, contact the Clean Energy Trust.
Run by the Chicago Booth Energy Group, this student-run event will explore the need for affordable and reliable access to energy. Panels, keynote speakers, and more, will explore topics such as emerging technologies and industry developments, government initiatives in the energy space, and entrepreneurship in energy.
