Carl R. Tannenbaum, '84

Economic Consultant

Mr. Tannenbaum is currently an economic consultant, providing institutional clients with intelligence on the financial markets and the business cycle. He publishes weekly, monthly, and quarterly commentary and helps firms to best prepare for changing conditions.

Mr. Tannenbaum speaks regularly on the economic environment and serves as a commentator on business issues for CNBC, CNN, and other media outlets. He is a
Past President of the National Association for Business Economics.

Until very recently, he was the Chief Economist for LaSalle Bank, a $110 billion organization centered in Chicago. LaSalle was an affiliate of ABN AMRO Bank of Holland, one of the world's largest financial institutions.

In addition to his economic duties, he directed the bank's balance sheet management
group, and was a member of the bank's national and global risk committees. He was with
the organization for twenty-four years.

Mr. Tannenbaum holds an MBA and a BA in finance and economics from the University
of Chicago. He is currently the president of Working in the Schools, a charity whose
programs reinforce reading skills among second- and third-graders in the Chicago Public
Schools.

Carl R. Tannenbaum will be the moderator on the Session A panel, Mid-Year Economic Update, at this year's Management Conference.
