Marshall B. Front is the Chairman of Front Barnett Associates, an independent Chicago-based investment counseling firm which he co-founded in 1994. Prior to this, Front served as investment counsel to major individual and institutional clients from 1965 to 1994. Various positions he held included President, Stein Roe & Farnham Investment Counsel; President, Stein Roe Mutual Funds; Director of Stein Roe & Farnham Incorporated; Trustee, Stein Roe & Farnham Foundation; and member of the Executive and Senior Management committees. Front began his career in 1962 as a management consultant for Booz Allen & Hamilton.
Front is involved in various cultural and civic organizations including serving as Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees, The Field Museum; Director, WTTW; Past President, Board of Trustees, The Latin School of Chicago; Vice Chairman and Member of the Executive Committee, Museum of Contemporary Art; Trustee, Illinois Institute of Technology; Director, The Arts Club; Past President, Board of Trustees, Archeworks; Member of the Chicago Club, The Casino, the Economic Club, and the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago
Front received an AB in economics from Columbia College and 1958 and an MBA in finance from Columbia University in 1961.
