Cathy Peng, '01 (XP-70)

VP Business Development, Ethertronics Inc.

Cathy Peng is the Vice President of Business Development for Ethertronics, Inc. Peng, who brings more than 20 years high-tech experience to Ethertronics, is responsible for leading the company's business development initiatives.

Peng most recently was the General Manager of Synocus International, a leading management-consulting firm in Finland, where she was responsible for helping clients set up international marketing strategies, improve their operational capabilities and orchestrate globalization knowledge. Prior to Synocus, Peng served as a Global Brand and Channel Marketing Strategist for Motorola, Inc., as well as the Senior Business Development Manager for the company in the U.S. Her work with Motorola also included serving as the Regional Business Manager for Motorola Asia Pacific, Ltd., Hong Kong and China, a role in which she created and managed distribution, sales and marketing channels in Hong Kong and China markets, as well as served as a key liaison to Chinese central and regional government representatives.

Peng's extensive professional experience also includes serving as the General Manager of Guangzhou Tianhe Science and Technology Ltd., China; the Assistant General Manager of South China Telecommunications, Hong Kong and Guangzhou; the Engineering Manager for Deran Electronics Ltd., Hong Kong and Guangdong; as well as the Operations Manager for Lingnan Micro-Electronics Ltd., Guangzhou, China.

Peng earned an MBA from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business, and a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.

Cathy Peng will be a panelist on the Session B panel,Building Cross Border Businesses, at this year's Management Conference.
