Robert S. Hamada
Hamadas affiliation with Chicago GSB didnt begin when he assumed the deanship in July 1993. A faculty member since 1966, he has held many posts within the schools administration and faculty. What follows is highlights of his career at the GSB.

Instructor, assistant professor, associate professor, and professor of finance Hamada was a popular teacher during these years, beginning as an instructor and rising to a chaired distinguished professor of finance. In 1970, he received the first outstanding teaching award given by the GSB; in 1981, he received the McKinsey Award for excellence in teaching. In 1982, Fortune magazine named him one of eight outstanding business school professors.
