1932

Chicago GSB recently learned of the death of Francis Flynn, Ph.B. '32, of Azle, Texas. Flynn was retired from Texas Nuclear Corporation.

1938

Erwin E. Goehring died October 19, 2000. He was retired from Valparaiso University, where he served as a professor. Survivors include his wife, Esther.

1959

Chicago GSB recently learned of the death of Roland L. Meyer Jr. of Midland Park, New Jersey.

1976

The GSB recently learned of the death of Adrianne S. Harvitt, who was vice president and associate general counsel of Stephens Incorporated. She is survived by her husband, Donald M. Heinrich; son, Patrick; and daughter, Christina.

1981

The GSB recently learned of the death of Chris Robert Hensel of Seattle.

1987

Douglas W. Caterfino died of cancer February 2 in Short Hills, New Jersey. He was a managing director at Goldman Sachs in New York. Survivors include his wife, Elissa; two sons, Andrew and Brian; parents, Sam and Mary; brother, John; sister, Nancy McDermott; and grandmothers, Louise Thompson and Eleanor Caterfino.

The GSB recently learned of the death of John H. Harper, '54, of West Lafayette, Indiana.

Alvin W. Long, '55, died February 20. He was a former president, chairman, and CEO for Chicago Title and Trust. He is survived by his wife, Ethelle “Kit”; son, Roger; and daughter, Sherry Long McBain.

The GSB recently learned of the death of William K. Miske, '55, of Skokie, Illinois, on December 31, 2000.

The GSB recently was informed of the death of L. Francis Stella, '76, of Greensboro, North Carolina. Stella was retired from Guilford Technical Community College, where he served as a professor of business administration.

Chicago GSB recently learned of the death of John Joseph Philipp, '83, of Scottsdale, Arizona. He was retired from Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he served as chairman of the department of family medicine.

The GSB recently was informed of the death of Lawrence R. Temple, '87, of Lake Forest, Illinois. Temple was president and CEO of John T. Associates. He is survived by his wife, Marsha.
