NEW SERVICES AT FISHER LIBRARY
Alumni are the single largest constituency of the school, but
their access to library resources at the university is often constrained
by distance. The Alumni Research Service was created by Maura
Barrett, head librarian at Kenneth G. Fisher Library, to provide all alumni with high quality information services
at a nominal costregardless of their proximity to campus. Fisher
Library, which is located on the first floor of Gleacher Center,
features a variety of reference tools, online resources, business
periodicals, and career publications.
The following research reports are available for a small fee plus
the cost of postage.
Executive recruiters report. Tap into an executive recruiter database that contains complete
company data on more than six thousand firms and is updated quarterly.
Company profile. Access data on public and private firms drawn from resources
such as Reuters, Hoovers, Information Access Company, Asia Pulse,
Standard & Poors, and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Executive profile. Get background information on the top executives of public and
private firms. The database is searchable by name, company, location,
school, and affiliated organizations. We also will run executives
names through the GSB alumni database and include contact information
if applicable.
Industry profile. Information is available on more than one hundred industries
(limited to U.S. companies).
GSB alumni directory. The alumni directory, known as the GSB People Finder, is a database
of alumni contact information for students and alumni. All living
alumni are included except those with unknown addresses or those
who have requested that information not be distributed. The GSB
People Finder, intended as a tool for career networking, supplies
information about alumni business addresses only.
