CHINA IS the most potentially explosive emerging market in the world, and Jack Wadsworth is
in prime position to take advantage of it.

John S. Wadsworth, ’63, is chairman of Morgan Stanley Asia Limited. He oversees the bank’s business in all of Asia outside of Japan and India.

“China is critical to [investment] in non-Japan Asia because of its dominant impact on capital flow,” Wadsworth told students in May when he visited campus.

“We’ve been telling people for 10 years, ‘China is going to be important to you, whether you are in or out.’” The key to Morgan Stanley’s Asian strategy, he says, is “getting China right.”
