We had the good fortune of traveling with the Reifels and the Cherniks in a number of destinations. A few months later, on October 28, Linda gave birth to our son, Taylor Boone, who weighed in at six pounds, four ounces and was 19 inches. He is a dandy. We dont sleep anymore, but it is the best. Our son is clearly future GSB material. In between Europe and his sons birth, Elwood job hunted and took a position in strategy and new business ventures for Compaq Computer in Houston. Its the dream job, he writes. Ive been doing everything from business development, to venture capital investing, to mergers and acquisitions, to operations strategy. Between October and December, Elwood had to find a house in Houston. Did I mention that the house we bought was new construction and was in the dry wall stage, and because my wife was eight months pregnant she could not accompany me and help with the house-related decisions.
