Thank you, Chicago Booth alumni, faculty, staff, and friends.

We’re delighted to announce that the GSB Campaign reached its target goal of $300 million well in advance of the June 30, 2008, end date for the Chicago Initiative.

Our individual sentiments say it all—

“Champagne corks are popping in New York!”—Andy Alper

"Hot diggity dog! This is better than the Cubs winning the World Series! Onward and upward!”—Dennis Keller

Your support has been invaluable, and we thank you. You are an integral part of our winning team.

Reaching this goal has taken us to a new plateau, a launchpad to the next level.. The $300 million raised has allowed us to maintain the best faculty, dramatically increase student support, and, with the opening of the Charles M. Harper Center, to lay claim to the best set of business school facilities in the world. All of these achievements have contributed to our higher overall average rankings.

Now, having reached this goal, we look to the future. This is a milestone, not a finish line, in our quest to be the best business school on all dimensions. We’re competing at a new level, with greater confidence, and incredible momentum. We can’t stop now.

What’s next? We must draw a new map for our continued success.

In this last year of the campaign we will emphasize several priorities:

Faculty Competitiveness: Professorships, faculty fellowships, and the support of faculty centers and initiatives are critical for maintaining our competitive edge.

Scholarships: We have a variety of scholarship programs, includng the new Initiative for Diversity, Women's Fellowships, and Global Scholarships. Our diverse range of programs allows us to attract the best MBA students worldwide.

Facilities: Numerous naming opportunities are still available at Harper Center in Chicago, as well as at our London and Singapore campuses.

Annual Fund: This is our key lever of flexibility and a critical component of our success. We raised $5.6 million last year, exceeding our goal of $5.3 million. Participation was the key—every gift counts!—and our goal this year is $6 million.

Resources follow good work, and we hope you will continue to follow our vision and achievements  and find them worthy of continued support.
