Mr. Li Yuanwei joined Chinese Basketball Association as director in 2003, and has been the chief reformist for the sports and organization in China. He has not only marketed basketball, but also led the implementation of the masterplan to professionalize the leagues and to regulate games. In 2005, he initiated more radical reforms by partnering with a commercial company which would bring revenue to the organization.
