Austan Goolsbee is a professor of Economics at the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business where he has taught since 1995. He is also the lead editor of the Journal of Law and Economics, a Senior Research Fellow at the American Bar Foundation and Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Goolsbee received a Fulbright Fellowship for 2006-2007.
In April 2006, he began writing for the Economic Scene columns at the New York Times.
In October 2006, he was named to Crain's Chicago Business' "40 under 40" list.
