Undergraduate School/Major: I graduated from American University of Beirut and majored in computer and communications engineering.

Prior to Booth: I was a software engineer at Cisco Systems.

Activities: I'm a member of the Management Consulting, Corporate Management & Strategy, High Tech, Business Solutions, and the Public Speaking Group, as well as the Soccer, Wine, and Ski & Snowboard Clubs.

Summer internship plans: I am recruiting for management consulting.

Why did you choose to attend Chicago Booth? I chose to attend Booth for curriculum flexibility, the analytical and disciplinary based approach to addressing problems and opportunities and the accommodating and welcoming nature of students, faculty, and staff.

What do you consider a "must visit" place in Chicago? Kayaking in the Chicago River and eating the best tacos in the city at Big Star.

Activities: I'm a member of the Management Consulting Group, Chicago Global Citizen Club, Public Speaking Group, Middle East and North Africa Club, Wine Club and Ski & Snowboard Club.

Why did you choose to attend Chicago Booth? I chose to attend Booth because of the flexible curriculum, discipline-based approach, focus on the idea and experiential learning opportunities.

What do you consider a "must visit" place in Chicago? The Chicago River Architectural Tour and of course the deep dish pizza.

Philippe Ferneini, Class of 2012

Undergraduate School/Major: I graduated from Telecom ParisTech as a telecommunications engineer.

Prior to Booth: I first worked as an auditor in the financial services practice at Ernst & Young in Paris, France. Then I moved to the Middle East where I worked as a management consultant with Booz & Company in the financial services practice.

Activities: I'm a member of the Frech MBA Club, Investment Banking Group, Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Group and the Soccer and Wine Clubs.

Career plans: After Chicago Booth, I plan to work in Investment Banking in London.

Why did you choose to attend Chicago Booth? I chose to attend Booth because of its strength in finance, the flexibility of curriculum, and because it is top in academics.

What do you consider a "must visit" place in Chicago? The Kingston Mines! This is among the best Blues pubs in the world! On Sundays, Linsey Alexander plays and this guys is a real "Legend"!
