Undergraduate School/Major: I graduated from Yonsei University with a major in business administration.
Prior to Booth: I worked as a tax advisor in Kim & Chang (the largest law firm in Korea) for five years and as a CPA for PwC Korea for three years.
Activities: I am currently a member of the Investment Banking Group, Private Equity Group, Chicago Asia Pacific Group, Public Speaking Group, Mothers at Booth Group, and the Korean Business Group.
Summer Internship Plans: I'm recruiting for an investment banking opportunity in Hong Kong.
Why did you choose to attend Chicago Booth? I chose to attend Booth for the strength in finance, flexible curriculum, practical academic approach, amazing career services team, and great students.
What do you consider a "must visit" place in Chicago? Must-visit places are the Field Museum and Art Institute of Chicago, the Hyde Park campus during the fall (so beautiful. Must-do activities are LPF, Random Walks, LOE; in Chicago, enjoy free concerts and take the double-decker bus and look around the city during the summer.

Undergraduate School/Major: I graduated from Korea University with a major in politics and international relations.
Prior to Booth: I worked at SK Telecom, the leading telecommunication company in Korea, for four and half years. For the first three years, my primary role was planning and marketing wireless internet services. Later, I moved to the strategy team where I worked for developing new business strategy to break through the saturated domestic telecom market.
Activities: I am an active member of the Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy and Management, Greater China, Chicago Asia Pacific, High Tech and Korean Business Groups, and Giving Something Back.
Summer Internship Plans: I'm recruiting for management consulting in Asia, focusing on Seoul and Shanghai offices.
Why did you choose to attend Chicago Booth? I loved the flexibility of Booth. Booth respects its students and treats them as mature and responsible people. When I joined the Campus Visit Program last year, I could see and feel the energy of students who were enjoying the variety of options and the flexibility. Also, the strong relationship between first and second year students was very impressive. Every 1st year students told me that they were getting more help and support from the 2nd year students than they expected. Lastly, a couple of Korean Booth alumni told me how great the Chicago Booth's Career Services is. The strong and renowned presence of Booth and its supportive Career Services were two of the most important things I considered since I am switching careers.
What do you consider a "must visit" place in Chicago? The Architecture Boat Tour - I have done that four times already with different friends visiting. It provided a totally different view and ideas about architecture and allowed me to fully appreciate the beauty of Chicago.

Summer Internship Plans: I'm recruiting for positions in investment banking firms in New York.
Why did you choose to attend Chicago Booth? I chose to attend Booth because of the strong University of Chicago brand, its reputation as a strong finance school and for the opportunity to live in Chicago.
What do you consider a "must visit" place in Chicago? The Harper Center. Anywhere, especially when the weather is good. I had some great times in August.

Undergraduate School/Major: I graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a major in computer information systems.
Prior to Booth: I served in the Republic of Korea - United States Combined Forces Command for two and a half years. I also worked for Daewoo Securities as an equity sales trader and stock borrowing and lending trader, and spent over two years at Mirae Asset Securities as a founding member of Mirae Asset's equity finance.
Activities: I am a member of the Investment Management Group (IMG Conference Coordinator), Investment Banking Group (S&T), Hedge Fund Group, Chicago Asia Pacific Group, and Korea Business Group.
Summer Internship Plans: I am currently recruiting for investment management (buyside equity research) and sales & trading.
Why did you choose to attend Chicago Booth? I chose to attend Booth because of the caliber of the faculty and students, second to none reputation in finance, flexible curriculum and most of all, I was really moved by the people (professors, students, alumni) from Booth from day one. My commitment to fly out to Chicago from Korea during Admit Weekend and meet up with the Booth community played a major role in choosing Booth.
What do you consider a "must visit" place in Chicago? Chicago has amazing food!
