Undergraduate School/Major: I have a BA in business administration from the Universidad Francisco Marroquin.
Prior to Booth: I worked in corporate lending at a commercial bank in Guatemala.
Concentrations: Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing Management, and Strategic Management.
Activities: I am a member of the Milton Friedman Group; the Media, Sports, and Entertainment Group; the Latin American Business Group; the Corporate Management and Strategy Group; and the Family Enterprise and Marketing Group.
Career plans: I will return to Guatemala to work for the family business (media).
Why did you choose Chicago Booth? I chose Booth because of its flexible curriculum that allows me to choose my own path, and because the academics and curriculum are focused on economic ideas that resonate a lot with me.

What do you consider a "must visit" place or "must-do" activity in Chicago? I really recommend the architectural boat tour and visiting Millennium Park.

Prior to Booth: I worked for Citibank in Guatemala as a Corporate Finance Transactor, structuring syndicated and agency supported loans for corporate clients in Guatemala and other Central American countries.
Concentrations: Economics, Finance and Strategic Management.
Activities: I am a member of the Family Enterprise Group, Latin America Business Group, Emerging Markets Group, Private Equity Group, Management Consulting Group and the Running and Triathlon Group.
Summer internship plans: I will be recruiting for consulting, and I am also interested in private equity focused in Latin America.

I wanted to attend a business school that shared my principles of market economics and that would provide me with the tools I needed to further develop my personal and professional career.
