Undergraduate School/Major: I graduated in 2006 with a BBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
Prior to Booth: I worked for four years as an investment banker at Credit Suisse. This includes working for one year as an associate before deciding to come to Booth.
Activities: I helped plan the 2011 Chicago Microfinance Conference with the Emerging Markets Group. I've also joined a nonprofit Associate Board and volunteered in an after-school program at a high school in the Pilsen neighborhood.
Career Plans: I will be returning to Credit Suisse in New York following graduation.
Why did you choose Chicago Booth? I chose Booth because I wanted a flexible program that would allow me to tailor the academic offerings to my needs. For example, due to my banking background I was able to skip many accounting and finance prerequisites. This has allowed me to take more advanced courses during my first year and have time to take several courses at the Law School. The friendly, Midwest culture also attracted me to Booth.
What do you consider a "must visit" place in Chicago? Visit Wrigley Field to catch a Cubs game. Also, I enjoy the biking/running trail along the lakeshore that stretches the entire city. From downtown, it's a nice bike ride up to the Lincoln Park Zoo (a great, free zoo) or down to Hyde Park.
Ask me about...: Where to sit in Wrigley Field or which courses to take at the Law School while at Chicago Booth.
