Undergraduate School/Major: I graduated from Queen's University and majored in commerce.

Prior to Booth: I spent four years working in operations in private equity.

Concentrations: Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Strategic Management.

Activities: Member of the Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital, Private Equity, High-Tech, and Leadership and Influence Groups and the Epicurean Club.

Career Plans: I will be working in in venture capital.

Why did you choose Chicago Booth? Booth has one of the strongest practical programs I have come across. Programs like New Venture Lab, Hyde Park Angels, Private Equity & Venture Capital Lab, and many more have been incredibly helpful to gain experience in my target industries.

Use three adjectives to describe your experience at Chicago Booth: Stretch, friends, and fun.

What do you consider a "must visit" place or a "must-do" activity in Chicago? Take a water taxi to get from one end of the Chicago Loop to the other.

Ask me about...: Venture capital, entrepreneurship, and where to buy costumes in Chicago (for the many costume parties you will attend).

Undergraduate School/Major: I graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and majored in Finance, Operations and Information Management.

Prior to Booth: I spent two years as an investment analyst for an Asian equity hedge fund in Kuwait and 1.5 years as a business analyst for a financial services multinational (one year in Singapore, eight months in New York).

Concentrations: International Business and Strategic Management.

Activities: Member of the Management Consulting, African Business, Emerging Markets, Travel, Transportation and Hospitality, Middle East and North Africa, Canadian Business, International Development and Business Solutions Groups, Net Impact, Chicago Women in Business, Epicurean Club, and the Dean's Student Admissions Committee.

Career Plans: I hope to work in consulting in Toronto or international development in EMEA.

Why did you choose Chicago Booth? I chose to attend Booth because I wanted to transition from investment management to consulting in order to broaden my skillset before pursuing my long-term career goal of going into international development. I love working in emerging markets and believe Booth will give me the best tools available in order to pursue my dream.

Use three adjectives to describe your experience at Chicago Booth: Phenomenal, choices, and time management.

What do you consider a "must visit" place or a "must-do" activity in Chicago? The Wicker Park restaurant crawl, grilling on the rooftop deck in the MDA building where I live, watching summer thunderstorms roll by from a tall building in the South Loop, Lao Sichuan Chinese restaurant in Chinatown, GT Oyster House in River North, coffee shops in the West Loop.

Ask me about...: Working as an expat in emerging markets to which you have no ties, and experiencing both culture shock and reverse culture shock.

Undergraduate School/Major: I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Prior to Booth: I worked in a start-up consulting firm focused in customer strategy and then in sales in the education space.

Concentrations: General Management, Marketing  Management, Operations Management and Strategic Management.

Activities: Co-chair of the Dean's Student Admissions Committee and the Canadian Business Club, member of Management Consulting Group, Marketing Group, Chicago Women in Business, Epicurean Club, and AudioBooth.

Career Plans: I will be working in Chicago with a large management consulting firm.

Why did you choose Chicago Booth? I applied to Booth because of its flexible program and exceptional reputation. I chose to attend Booth because the people I met were humble, supportive, curious, and driven.

Use three adjectives to describe your experience at Chicago Booth: Inspirational, fun, and humbling.

What do you consider a "must visit" place or a "must-do" activity in Chicago? The architectural boat tour is a must-do activity downtown, along with taking in great food and music across the city.

Undergraduate School/Major: I graduated from University of Western Ontario with a bachelors degree in medical sciences.

Prior to Booth: I spent 1.5 years at a boutique strategy consulting firm and 3.5 years at an operational consulting firm covering middle market and mega cap private equity firms.

Concentrations: Entrepreneurship, Finance and Managerial and Organizational Behavior.

Activities: Investment Banking Group, Private Equity Group, Career Services Ambassador, Asia Pacific Group, International Development Group, Emerging Markets Group, Leadership & Influence Group, Risk & Gaming Club, Wine Club.

Career Plans: I am recruiting for internships in investment banking and private equity.

Why did you choose Chicago Booth? I chose to attend Booth for three reasons: network, flexibility, and culture. At one of the top MBA programs in the world, I am meeting and working with some of the smartest and most successful alumni, faculty, and students. The flexibility of the program allows me to customize both the curriculum and extracurricular activities to my personal requirements. Finally, while the program is competitive, I really enjoy the friendly and collaborative nature of the culture at Booth.

What do you consider a "must visit" place or a "must-do" activity in Chicago? Eat deep-dish pizza at Giordano's and try out a Chicago dog at one of many hot dog places around town.
