Undergraduate School/Major: I graduated from the University of Toronto and majored in accounting and corporate finance.
Prior to Booth: I started my career in investment banking in Toronto for TD Securities, Inc. focused on the communications and media sectors. After leaving IB I spent time completing a microfinance internship in Bangladesh and traveling in Asia. Finally, I founded a fitness focused social media company that allowed health and fitness professionals to connect with their clients online.
Activities: Member of the Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Group, High-Tech Group, Canadian Business Group, Media, Entertainment & Sports Group, and the Corporate Strategy & Management Group.
Why did you choose Chicago Booth? I chose Booth because of the academic rigor. Two years is a long time to invest in anything! I knew if I was going to spend two years (especially my first two years after marriage) back in school, I wanted to make sure I would learn as much as possible.
What do you consider a "must visit" place in Chicago? I haven't done it yet, but I consider attending a Chicago Bulls game a "must-do", and now that the NBA lockout has ended, it will be done!

Prior to Booth: I worked in private equity for a holding company.

Summer Internship Plans: I am looking to pursue an internship and a full-time position in venture capital.
Why did you choose Chicago Booth? I applied to Booth because of its flexible curriculum and extensive selection of hands-on lab courses, particularly in entrepreneurship and venture capital. I chose to attend Booth because the people that I met during Admit Weekend and during the rest of the admissions process were all so friendly and down to earth that I knew I could see myself in Chicago for the next two years.
What do you consider a "must visit" place in Chicago? Take a water taxi to get from one end of the Chicago Loop to the other.

What do you consider a "must visit" place in Chicago? Attend one micro class, and one case-based class at Booth.

Prior to Booth: I worked in boutique consulting and executive education sales with Ivey Business School.

Summer Internship Plans: I'm currently recruiting for Management Consulting in Toronto or Chicago.
Why did you choose Chicago Booth? I applied to Booth because of the flexibility to design my own curriculum, the exceptional faculty, and top rankings. I chose to attend Booth after I had the opportunity to meet both alumni and current students and found that everyone was supportive, collaborative, welcoming, and hardworking, while still managing to be laid-back and fun.
What do you consider a "must visit" place in Chicago? The architecture in Chicago is incredible, and I consider the boat tour to be a must-do activity, as is a visit to Wrigley Field and Wrigleyville to really get a sense of the US sports culture.
